New Military Drama: Operation Home Base

New Military Drama: Operation Home Base
By
Theresa Chaze

Acting as a representative for the branches of the military and the federal government, Walter Hummel approaches the founders of Operation Home Base with an offer of economic and logistic support as well as political influence. Although Martin Flying Crow doesn’t trust Hummel, he is unwilling to deprive the armed service personnel and their families of the badly needed support. However, once the paperwork has been signed, the committee realizes that they may have gotten more than they bargained for. Immediately they are called to service. Dishonorably discharged and accused of raping a local teenager, ex marine, Ken Thompson, is found dead in his parents home. The deputy sheriff in charge suspects the Gunnery Sergeant and his wife are responsible for the murder of their son The OHB’s new legal advisor and the government advocate with the help of the NCIS team not only exposes the ulterior motives of the deputy, but also truth behind the death of the much hated man.

What's in a Name?

For those who have been visiting my blog, you will notice a change in the title. Originally, a Days of Our Lives Blog, it has now been expanded to include other venues. Whether or not Days of Our Lives survives the current writing staff, I have moved on to other projects, which will be posted here along with other television news.

Many say that soap operas have outlived their time. That the fans have lost interest in the genre. That is so far from true. The only changes have been in the board rooms and in technology. The fans are just as loyal as ever; however, their viewership has changed.

The major difference is that they are no longer limited to viewing according the networks schedule. With the Internet, delayed viewing and Soapnet, people have more options of when and how to watch, which has been reflected in the ratings. In the past, soaps were a consistent and stable source of income for the networks. In many cases, they financially carried prime time TV; however, the current members of the board rooms choose to over look the genre's financial history and the loyalty of the fan base.

Part of the problem comes from the soaps as well. Originally, the writing in soaps was unique and fresh. They pushed the limits and addressed social issues. Many of the firsts in television happened in the soap opera genre. Nearly all the soaps have lost this edge. Instead, the writers and executive producers are attempting to compete with the more explicit content of the cable networks. T and A sells short term, but it is well written storylines and characters that keep viewer coming back.

The original three networks had an monopoly. No other network or venue can compete with the decades of loyalty the soaps had. Soap viewing is generational; unlike any other genre or venues, it is handed down from grandparents and parents to the future generation. Many people have fond memories of watching with their mother or grandmother. However, these days most of those same people will not allow their children to watch due solely to the inappropriate content.

I fully believe that if the soaps were to return to the basic that their profitability would again make the board rooms see them as assets to be nurtured, instead of liabilities to be replaced. It is still possible. But it is going to take one person with the courage and financial resources to prove it.

New Military Series: Operation Home Base

I have been working a made for TV movie that is designed to become a weekly series. Originally, it was written to be a spin off for NCIS. However, Don Bellisario only produces projects he creates and writes himself. It would still be a good project for a producer and network who values those who have the courage to serve and their families.

I have written a treatment based on the real life organization Operation Homefront called, Operation Home Base. OHB intertwines the challenges military personnel face with those of their families. This is not an Army Wives or reality show, but an accurate portrayal of military life. The show intertwines drama and suspense with comedy to tell the stories of active duty, vets, and wounded warriors along with those who love them.

OPERATION HOME BASE
Operation Home Base is a nationwide non profit organization with local chapters that gives support to military families, veterans, wounded warriors, and active duty military personnel by working with existing programs and organizations. Acting as an information hub, OHB works in partnership with the bases’ Dependent Centers to give aid and comfort to military personal and their families while acting as intermediary not only with other military agencies but with the civilian services. Staffed with active duty and retired military personnel along with civilians, OHB was created by the combined branches of the services to take care of their own. Their single goal is to fill the voids left by governmental agencies who are unable provide the necessary services and support for all branches of the military.

Currently, I am writing the two hour pilot; part of which will be posted here by the end of the week. Several characters were written with specific actors in mind.

Lorelei Stewart--Gloria Loring
Retired Lt. Colonel Elaine Reynolds--Deidre Hall
Deacon James William--Tom Selleck
Michael Woodsman--Drake Hogestyn
Martin Flying Crow--Graham Greene
Randi Cullen--Alyssa Milano

Days of Our Lives: Message to Ken Corday from Fans at the NBC Boards

Hartleyfan

http://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8105339/1/

"In desperate times, desperate measures are sometimes the worst things to resort to. What Guiding Light became was not a soap opera. It smacked of ESPN or the evening news and done without any homage to the creator of the show. It wasn't because of one inept person in the last year or two; the show ran its course."

What an a**,this coming from the guy who axed the biggest supercouple EVER (John and Marlena) and axed vet after vet. Every time he opens his mouth, something stupid comes out.''Done without any homage to the creator of the show'',well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. This is all coming from a man who has turned his parents dream into a laughing stock and hired a woman who couldn't write a greating card if her life depended on it.Do me/us a favor Corday and SHUT UP.

Kenny crapped corn and I just don't care.
He and people like him are killing soaps and yet he states the obvious while doing the same. I can't believe the nerve of this big goof ball.

Earth to Kenny try watching your own show with out pushing the mute button for a minute please then feel freely to talk about Guiding Light.

Is he serious with this?! What the hell does this man know about what a soap opera is anyway?! I can't believe he actually has the cajones to say this. Mr. Corday should very much be ashamed of himself.

Oh wow! Did he really say that! Uhh...I wouldn't be talking like that Corday, DAYS isn't exactly Y & R! And is NOTHING like DAYS is supposed to be and what the creators (your parents) of DAYS had in mind for DAYS, what they created for DAYS. And DAYS is nothing like it used to be and what it was known for and legendarily known for throughout the soap world. That's been gone and destroyed a very long time ago.

I totally agree with what you said Hartleyfan. That was a bit much and totally un-neccessary to say. And a bunch of those actors, crew, and production have lost their jobs, their show...and you know DAYS isn't exactly top-of-the-notch-safe-from-cancellation! And the way the show is running and written nowadays and the fact that DAYS has tarnished and trashed its "Glory & Golden Days" due to writers doing recycled storylines, getting rid of SOME of their biggest vets [some of the vets are still there and being featured like: Ali Sweeney, Kristian A., Peter R., Joe M., Josh T., John A. Peggy M...and so forth, etc.!], writers who don't know DAYS, don't know the history of the show or what it is about, don't know the characters or their histories, and just only focused on angering fans, instead of pleasing them, and just focused on one character and actor only and all the time now, and OVERLY-DRAWN out stories that run waaayy too long with build that leads to nothing, nowhere, and to no proper pay-offs...NBC has been just itching to cancel DAYS! I'm sure NBC is sick of DAYS and their bull and trouble they've been causing and is just sick of dealing with it altogether...and are just inches away from cancelling it, if they're not careful!

I wouldn't be so quick to speak like that and so cocky like that! DAYS isn't exactly #1, isn't Y & R, isn't what it used to be, isn't blowing it out of the water, isn't the best soap show written or produced, and definitely isn't the best written or produced show or safest from cancellation show on television period. Might not need to be so cocky and rude when speaking like that about cancelled shows and such, in a genera that is generally DYING altogether and is getting much worst than getting better and is losing fans by the masses! Wouldn't be so quick to just speak like that so harshly and rudely DAYS. Whether is true or not...still a bit harsh and rude, for a genera that DAYS is in as well, and is also on that cancellation list and has been many times! And has even lost money/budgets and important characters and actors because DAYS is struggling! DAYS...you can't be so quick to talk like that, you're not exactly Y & R or Grey's Anatomy or Academy Award material or shows or something in writing, production, talent, storytelling, or ratings! Might not want to speak so quickly, so harshly, and so cruel and mean about...yet another show that was just canceled in your exact genera!

He's just pissed because he was upstaged. PS I finished the Wedding Story. If anyone is still interested.

Perhaps the most well-informed, prolific, skilled— golfer in daytime, Days of Our Lives executive producer Ken Corday speaks out to Soap Opera Digest about CBS basically signaling the end of broadcast television by cancelling Guiding Light.

"In desperate times, desperate measures are sometimes the worst things to resort to. What GUIDING LIGHT became was not a soap opera. Oh Kenny, this is so not your lesson to teach! No "homage to the creator"? Okay, say what you will about Ellen Wheeler, and God knows I have, but under her jurisdiction Guiding Light crafted a beautiful, PBS-worthy tribute to Irna Phillips. What have you done to honor your Mama and Daddy's legacy Kenny?

Were you paying tribute to the serial your parents Ted and Betty Corday, along with Irna Phillips created when you unceremoniously fired five of the biggest stars in the show's history (Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Stephen Nichols, Mary Beth Evans and Thaao Penghlis) and replaced them with talking dolls, and no I don't mean Timmy, I mean Molly Burnett. Is it in honor of your birthright that you continue to allow a shameless hack, who wouldn't know a long story if it bit her on the bottom to write, I mean wreck legacy characters and pen shameful storylines that see an autistic child being thrown down stairs and off piers under the guise of "social relevance"? Is allowing a storyline that has one half of your only remaining supercouple being wasted as a cartoon psychic your idea of getting back to the basics of good soap opera? Kenny, why don't you stick to talking about what you know best, how to improve one's golf game.

It just proves where his head is...it seems someone has a banner that describes it very well. It's too bad Betty put her faith in him. Obviously he didn't deserve it. I'm still wondering who left the show at the end of 06-beginning of 07. Whoever it was was keeping Kenny from destroying the show earlier.

For those who have been supporting the path he has been taking Days--how do you like him now? Still think the show won't be canceled?

I don't suport every path that Ken Corday but I know that the times are not very good. I think that the show is better now than in 03-07 when the economy was stronger. Remember the Gemini twins? The Eden story? The Vendetta Story?(Santeen?) Billie Swap baby Alive? Yes Days has been worse and I sat through it.

I do think Ken Corday did run off his moulth but we are all guilty of that since I have never seen GL I think I will just take it at face value.

Ellen Wheeler was trying new camera techniques. That is what made it different than the other soaps.

If it was just one comment, I'd also give him a pass. But it seems like ever statement he makes, he proves just how condescending he is and how little he does know about the fans, the genre and about being a producer.

I do not know what the technques since I don't watch the show. The shows ratings have been at the bottom since the early 90 of shows still on the air so it was a last atempt to keep the show aflot.

As for his comments well he said somthing stupid but he has improved the show in the last year. Are you seriously telling me Days is worse now than during the stories that I mentioned in the above post?

Improved the show ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!! He has destroyed three of the most popular fan bases by firing the firing the actors--you know ones with actual talent. The third-Bo and Hope is on the way out from what I've read on the boards. Bo as a psychic? There is no basis for it and from what I've seen the writers did less than zero research and are writing from sheer bigotry. It's looking like Hope will be having an affair with Roman--which is totally contrary to her character and Roman's. The who killed Trent murder mystery was a joke--a bad one at that. No one cared that he was killed and Nick being the killer was just pulled out of the air. His big drug problem, which was supposed to make him crazy, developed over a week. Then you have the triangles, the baby switching, instant love from sex in elevators....the storylines are inconsistent, shallow and fortune cookies are better thought out and developed. The new characters don't have personalities--the are caricatures. The actors don't have enough talent to be cast in high school productions. Showing and looking good doesn't make you an actor; it makes you a mannequin, which is all the newbies are. The experienced actors they have brought in haven't been given anything to work with when it comes to character or script.

Higley has been fired from every gig she has gotten because she writes the same crap wherever she goes. She refuses to learn the show or character history. Days no longer is a show of suspense, drama, romance and humor, but one of soft porn for tweens and teens where love is sex in an elevator. That's all she can write. I put a few Youtube videos on my blog of the good old Days. If you aren't afraid of having your delusions shattered, watch them. That was good TV.

Everyone in the industry knows it. Kenny knows it and that's why he hired her--to tank the show.

Are the other soaps doing better--I don't know. I do know that the writers keep being circulated from show to show which has made them all stagnant.

But hey, I've got my resume material. There has to be someone who is looking for fresh material. I've fulfilled my promise plus. The ghost story is finished. The Wedding is finished. I've moved on to new projects. How much I'll be visiting the boards in the future, I don't know. Cause frankly, I've run out of things to say. It's time to flush the toilet of the crap Higley has been spreading. Eventually the septic tank will break it on down and Days will disappear into history, taking with it Higley, Corday and Tomlin. Good ridden to the last three.

What an ass. At least Guiding Light kept and used many of their beloved vets and even brought back former popular characters to try and make an effort. Too bad it was too late. Corday is one to talk, look at how many popular and talented actors he has fired and how many useless, talentless newbies he's brought on. Shut up Ken! Jerk.

The Fallacy of Soap Opera Ratings

The Fallacy of Soap Opera Ratings
By
Theresa Chaze

The cancellation of Guiding Light only proves that the network executives don’t understand their own industry. Soap operas are the only genre where they have a true monopoly. It is the single aspect of programming that independent and cable networks simply don’t have a way to compete. To say that the soaps were grandfathered into our lives is into an understatement. Before VCRs or DVR’s, viewers planned their schedules around their favorite TV shows, including soap operas. If they were forced to miss, they found a fellow addict to catch them up or waited for the rerun. Soaps by their very nature don‘t rerun episodes, therefore their viewers became the most loyal and reliable in the industry, making them also a consistent form of income for the networks with their own built in sponsorship consortium.

During television’s infancy, most people only had access to three stations. Competition for viewers was low in comparison to today. This was the era that soap operas were born and their fan base established. It was the guilty pleasure that no one would admit to watching, yet everyone knew what was happening. After school and on vacations, children watched and became addicted to the shows their mothers and grandmothers watched. It is a legacy of fond memories that the children of the 1960s forward have carried into their adulthood.

Although viewership has always been consistent and loyal, it has always been also under reported by Nielsen; people simply didn’t always want to admit they watched soap operas. Even through society and technology has changed, Nielsen’s way of reporting has not. They do not acknowledge delayed viewing, which has become the primary means of watching daytime programming for those who work from 9 to 5. Instead of upgrading their accounting systems to more accurate methods, they continue to use the diaries and equipment that fail to account for delayed or remote viewing.

This statistical over sight has made it appear that the genre is no longer an asset to the networks. This is far from the truth. One would only have to look at the popularity of the fan events, the merchandizing and the demand for interviews with the soap stars to see that their fan base is not only enthusiastic, but actively growing. Fans love their soaps and their stars enough to spend their time, their money and their energy on them. The peripheral businesses make hundreds of million dollars from around the world from fans that simply cannot get enough of their favorite soap.

Yet the sponsor and the networks look only at the ratings without putting them into proper context. The ratings of the past were higher due to the lack of competition for viewers. When the pie is only split three ways, all the pieces are bigger. Cable and satellite networks now give viewers more options for programming, thereby increasing the number of slices in the pie. So the question that must be both asked and answered is--are the lower rating for soap operas just a natural result of the increased division of viewers or is the genre run its course? As long as the comparisons aren’t made on a level playing field, the information they yield cannot be accurate. Before a network makes the irreversible decision to cancel a soap opera, thereby infuriating the fans base, it really needs to compare the ratings across the board for that day part. To do less could very easily cost them a valuable asset.

Days of Our Lives: The Wedding part 2

I promised the fans on the NBC boards that I would do a special storyline. Here it is. It's called The Wedding. Fans of Tony and Anna will particularly enjoy it. It was going to be in two parts; however that has changed. The storyline is taking longer than expected because I'm putting more detail into it.

There are two new posts, which finishes the ghost story.

This is the final chapter in the ghost story.http://www.theresachaze.com/files/days3-21-09.pdf

There will be one more special posting soon.

However, if you are just starting to read the script, you will want to start at the next link in order to understand the plots. This is what I previously posted on the NBC Days boards not all of the posting are in the current proper format. However the posts at the bottom are in the format that I will be submitting to other soaps in hope of getting a writing gig.

Although much of it will be familiar who have been keeping up, there have been a reshuffling of the scenes as well as some tweaking. However, since the program I am using doesn't have a spell check, there may still be some typos. If you see any, please let me know in the comments section. Thanks.

Days of Our Lives 3-8-09

Newest post:

Here is the new posting http://www.theresachaze.com/files/Days3-8-09.pdf

However, if you are just starting to read the script, you will want to start at the next link in order to understand the plots. This is what I previously posted on the NBC Days boards not all of the posting are in the current proper format. However the posts at the bottom are in the format that I will be submitting to other soaps in hope of getting a writing gig.

Here's the deal. I am cleaning up and formatting the script that I have already posted into the correct format. I will be using it as resume material to get a writing gig on one of the other soaps. Although much of it will be familiar who have been keeping up, there have been a reshuffling of the scenes as well as some tweaking. Originally, I put little effort into the scrip, especially in the beginning. This better reflects me as a professional writer. However, since the program I am using doesn't have a spell check, there may still be some typos. If you see any, please let me know in the comments section. Thanks.

GE Stock Prices: Jeffrey Immelt and Stock Holders

Today your stock lost value as did your corporation. Part of it is due to the general financial challenge that the country is working through; however, how much can be contributed to bad policy decisions? You have many good products and services available, yet your stock’s value continues to decline. Part of your issues is that not all of your divisions are working up to their full potential. NBC, under Jeffrey Zucker’s leadership, has declined as it has failed to take into account the changing viewing demographics as well as the deterioration in quality of the programming, thereby decreasing its profitability.

NBC used to be the front running not only in news, but programming that was unique and popular. It was know for the highest quality. Yet that has changed. The shows of the past have with stood the test of time. Decades later, they are still being aired in reruns on other networks and on independent stations. Their popularity was based in the quality of the show and the diversity of their appeal. However, the NBC network is no longer a synonym for quality programming. Instead, it has become known for cheap shows that appeal to the lowest common denominator and those under 20.

During the late 1950’s through the 1960’s, teens and tweens were the most important demographic; they were ones who were the motivating force in bringing television into the homes of most families. However, over the decades that has radically changed, but the marketing model of networks has not been adjusted to account to take into account the shift in median age.

According to the CDC report published in 2005, the average American life expectancy is 78 as compared to 69 in 1955. As of May 15, 2001, the US Census Bureau reported that the new median age of the US population is 35.3, bringing it to an all time high. While the 18-34 age group declined 4%, the 35-64 year old age group rose 28 %. However, the most dramatic increase was in the 45-54 age group, which increased by 49 %.

July, 2000 36.6
July, 2001 36.8
July, 2002 37.1
July, 2003 37.2
July, 2004 37.4
July, 2005 37.6
July, 2007 37.7
July, 2008 37.9

Born from 1946-1964, the baby boomer generation was the first TV generation. Most don’t remember a time when there wasn’t at least one television in the home. They also remember only having two or three stations to choose from. Television was that generation’s new toy, just blackberries and cell phones are the current generation‘s.

Age group Hour per month
Viewing TV
2-11 106:37
12-17 103:48
18-24 118:28
25-34 142:29
35-44 147:21
45-54 173:00
55-64 190:40
65+ 207:29

According to Nielsen, no longer are teens and tween the primary television demographic; the 12-34 age group have been replaced by the 35 and over as the dominate viewing classification. Yet, NBC under Jeffrey Zucker’s leadership continues to program for a declining demographic, while ignoring a market base that is not only expanding in numbers, but also in financial stability. Baby boomers have started reaching retirement age, giving them more time for viewing as well as more stable incomes. Yet instead of scheduling programs that appeal the older age group, NBC promotes shows based on cost and youth appeal.

Choosing to fill its schedule with cheap reality shows, remakes of older shows, and youth based programming, while relegating the professionally produced programs to mid-season replacements, NBC continues to find itself in the bottom of the ratings. In addition, shows with loyal fan bases, such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Saturday Night Live and Days of our Lives have been revamp to appeal the to younger demographic, while slashing their production budgets. The ratings prove that the current management is out of touch with the needs and desires of the viewers. Dumbed down programming and reality shows may appeal sponsors who sell to teens and tweens such as CDs, DVDs and video games, but quality programs that are professional produced appeal to those who control household budgets. Zucker doesn’t seem to realize that no matter how inexpensive a show costs, it is a waste of air time if no one is watching.

The bottom line is that viewers attract sponsors. Zucker’s programming has driving viewers to other networks, taking with them the sponsors and the profits they represent. Profits increase the value of stocks and bring in larger dividends. The stock holders need to ask themselves if they like the 6.5% devaluation of GE stock and the cut in its annual dividend? If the answer is no, wouldn’t it be a good time to rethink management personal?

Days of Our Lives 2-16-09

To protest the terrible writing on Days of Our Lives, I started writing an alternative scripts and posting them on the NBC boards. However, I switch to my blog to protect my work. Below is the latest posting. Beneath it are the previous postings plus to fully formatted episode for the show including commercial breaks. I will be using the last as resume material.

From Daytime Confidential--Happy Freaking Valentine's Day Ken Corday

Happy Freaking Valentine's Day Ken Corday!
Submitted by Jamey Giddens on February 14, 2009 - 2:05pm

On this the holiday for lovers, I would like to send this symbolic heart-shaped box filled with rotten eggs to Ken "The Soap Slayer" Corday for dismantling what was once the most romantic soap opera ever, Days of Our Lives. You have done your Mama and Daddy proud Kenny. Happy, happy Valentine's Day! Take a look at this clip of some of Days' most iconic couples, or as Kenny likes to call them "Spokes on a Wheel", compiled by bstreis, just in case you need reminding how simply unromantic it is that Dena "I Can't Figure Out A Way to Write Patch and Kayla Out" Higley still has a job and Ken Corday is still in charge of a network television soap opera in these trying times.

I love this. The only thing I would tweak is that Higley can't write for anyone outside soft porn for tweens and teens, who haven't got a clue what life, love or making love is all about.

Days of Our lives: A Gift for the Fans of the Vets

This is a gift for the fans of the vets. It takes place in the future after the ghost story has ended so don't trying to match anything up with it. It is strictly to prove that a creative writer can write for the vets. These scenes would be drawn out more. Please keep this in mind when you read "The Gift"

If it was written out, this storyline would lead to a who-done-it mystery as the six veterans unravel who murdered the previous owners and try to close the decades old case.

To read it please go to http://www.theresachaze.com/files/daysgift.pdf

Stephan Nichols and Mary Beth Evans Fired From Days of Our Lives

According to Soap Opera Digest, Stephan Nichols and Mary Beth Evans have joined the list of vets fired by Ken Corday from Days of Our Lives. SOD quoted an inside source as saying, "It's like they're getting rid of everyone over 40." Every actor who has been fired had an established and loyal fan base that should have made their jobs secure. Yet this growing list of firings proves that Corday is doing his best insure Days is cancelled.

His last group of firing along the Leann also opens the door to not only the charge of ageism but a class action sued by the actors. With the exception of Blake, all the actors have been over 40, thereby opening the door for Corday Productions, Sony Picture and NBC to a class action law suit based on age discrimination. If the actors are smart it will end up with a big old fat class action law suit based on age discrimination. The minium number to for a class action to be initiated is 6. Not only could they sue Corday and Sony, but running it all the way up to NBC's parent company GE. The six of them could not only end up owning the show, but gaining enough money in the process to produce it properly. Is the there a smart shark-type lawyer out there looking for a quick easy buck?

Days of Our Lives

Here is the deal. On January 23, I participated in the protect fax campaign; only instead of just contacting Corday Productions, I faxed NBC Corporate and Sony Picture. I couldn't find the phone number for GE so I called Jeffrey Immelt. His assistant was very nice and took a message. Later that day, I Katie from NBC Corporate called and left a message, including her unlisted office phone number. She didn't give me any details but asked that I call her back. I thought finally, I have the ear of someone who get me in the door for a job interview.

Monday, I called back and left a message. Tenacious isn't my issue, patience is. When she hadn't called back by Tuesday afternoon, I again left a message. Even though I'm very persistent, I'm also a realist. I waited and focused on other projects. Yesterday, I again called, only this time Katie answered the phone. I explained I was returning her phone call; she didn't know what I was talking about. She just started a new job and she didn't do that any more, but she would refer me to the person who did. After which, she hung up on me. Me being me, I called back and this time she forwarded the call. Once again I left a message. Not very professional by any stretch of the imagination.

Although, I would dearly love the head writer gig and would be very good at it, the realist part of me has kicked in. With the firing of Thaao Penghlis, proves that NBC, Sony and Ken Corday want Days of Our Lives cancelled. Their actions prove that they would rather force a cheap programming down the viewers throat and hope they swallow, than actually bring the fans back with quality shows. So be it.

There are other networks, who aren't afraid to give the viewers what they want and are still able to make a profit. They know that quality cost, but in the long run the profits are so much greater. Those networks will make it through these financially challenging times; however, the small-minded, short-term thinking of NBC, Sony and Corday Productions will only lead them to be left behind. With hundreds of channels and even more entertainment options, why would anyone stick with a company who produces crap?

It's too bad. I think Days and I could have been a good match. I love the show and know it well. But that show doesn't exist any more; it's been hacked up and replaced by teen porn. So forward to better hunting grounds, cause the world has a multitude of possibilities for a person who is creative enough to think outside the box and has the courage to go for it.

This blog will still be updated. I have promised to finish the ghost story. I am a person of my word. Plus, I will be jumping ahead to scenes that would have happened if I had continued writing for a couple of months. Fans of Thaao Penghlis, Deidre and Drake will especially be interested. In addition I will start writing about other soaps--cause you ain't seen nothing yet.
