The biggest mistake sale representatives make

As independent contractor or representatives, you don't have to rely on the company to promote the products you sell. In fact, most companies expect you to run multi-level campaigns. Relaying on generic promotions and marketing supports the whole company, but not yourself. Eventually, it would trickle down to you. But wouldn't you prefer to be first in line for the benefits of your work.

As a writer, producer, and editor I can support your efforts to become successful by writing press releases and producing videos/commercials.

Combining two concepts, Never Can Say Good-bye creates an innovative spin on the ghostly genre. With a tagline, “When love is forever, death is only the beginning,” it is comparable to Ghost and The Others.

Imprisoned in her family's home, the spirit of a murdered child waits for her parents to free her. But they have moved on to new lives as has her killer. Randi must bring them back together, so that they can forgive themselves and make amends. If she succeeds, they will all heal and she will be freed to also reincarnate. If she fails, their need for revenge will damn them all.

The difference between commercials and internet videos

The difference between a commercial and internet video isn't the quality of the production, but the length of time and diversity of the message. Both follow the same format of identifying a problem, presenting your product or service as the solution to that problem, and giving contact or purchase information so that the customers may solve that problem by purchasing your product or service. Both also require high audio and video production values. However, at this point, the venues diverge.

Broadcast commercials must meet industry standards for consistency in length due to the two minute commercial break format. The most popular length continues to be 30 seconds. However, due to financial reasons most broadcast stations also offer both 10 and 15 second spots. Although they are less costly, their length also severely limits their effectiveness as promotional tools. Longer commercials give more detail, yet they are more costly. However, there is a generic class of 60, 90, and 120 minute ads that are bought in bulk without any airtime restrictions that are relatively inexpensive. This may seem like a good deal on the surface, but they are plugged in wherever there is unsold commercial airtime, which frequently ends up in late night or on unpopular programming. With the goal being reaching the broadest audience, these commercials are more miss than hit. Strategically speaking, a person must be exposed at least three times to a message before she or he retains the information enough to purchase the product or service. Each airtime buy is one time shot at the audience. Once the commercial airs, more time must be purchased in order to continuing sharing you message.

Internet videos are not limited by length or broadcast content standards. However, many websites do regulate for both violence and sexual content. Unlike broadcast venues, videos can run any length. The extended format of the videos makes it very easy to go into detail about your product or service, including adding demonstrations and testimonials. Additionally, videos keep the potential customers on your site or blog longer, which increases the likelihood they will become a loyal client. Websites, such as YouTube and Vimeo, accept much longer videos, which makes sharing the video on websites,  blogs, and on your social networking sites much easier not only for you, but the link and embedding code also allows others to promote your work in their networks. Once produced internet videos become one of your most cost effective tools in your marketing toolbox as there is no additional costs connected to its distribution.

Commercials and internet videos continue to be major assets in marketing and promotional toolboxes. Promoting and marketing with internet videos have made it possible for small companies to promote themselves locally, nationally, and internationally. Cosmos Productions produces high quality and cost effective videos for both products and services, which helps authors, entrepreneurs, small companies, and home-based business garner a larger share of the marketplace. Horses and Heroes is a Reality TV series, which combines the highly effective Peer Support Therapy with Equine Therapy. Unlike most in the genre, it will focus on healing and positive growth rather than endorsing bad behavior. Each season will bring together the veterans from WWII to the current conflicts. They will be sharing their challenges and supporting each other as they find new solutions. They know the talk, because they have walked the walk. They see the dodges and will be able to call each other on them. Sparks may fly. Tempers may flare, especially when they force each other to face the ghosts. But will also be laughter and fun as they rebuild the comradery. The snarkiness and practical jokes between the branches don't simply end. There is always room for just one more. When it airs, it will reach into the homes of the veterans, who need to hear that they are not alone and give them the information as well as the permission to also heal. They will help each other find their way back to the world. Veterans can’t go back and make a brand new start; but they can start from now and make a brand new end.

Successfully promoting your book and your brand

Stephen King, John Sandford, and J.K Rowling can release a 15 second ad saying-I have a new book out go buy it. They have well established brands and following. Readers know what to expect from them. Self-publish or traditional--paperback or electronic, until you reach that point you will be doing a great deal of the PR and marketing. You could have written the best book in the history of books, but until the readers know about it they can't buy it.

As a writer, producer, and editor I can give you a tool that will positively promote you book and your brand. I can't promise to make it a best seller; only the quality of your work can do that. What I will do for you is help your readers find you.

Let me help you with your marketing challenges.

Hopeville: City of Lights

Hopeville: City of Lights from Theresa Chaze on Vimeo.

Vision of Hopeville: Hopeville the City of Light was given to Fran Capo through a mysterious voice at 4 a.m. one morning. The vision is to get the message of light out to the world. Please help spread the light of this book, through word of mouth, your testimonials, sponsorships to schools, and by giving or donating it to anyone you feel needs comfort or to be uplifted. In these times of little hope, if we could get it into 100,000 hands it can have a ripple effect that could change the world and give people a sense of Hope, creating their own internal Hopeville. I would love for you to be a part of this vision.

Book Trailers: How to promote your book

Authors!  Time to prepare for the holiday giving season by helping your readers and those who love them find your books. Whether your book is print or electronic, the most effective way to reach your readers is through your website, blog, and through social networking.  Writing blogs, tweeting, or buying ads does help the search engines find your work, but they are not as effective as a video, which entices and teases your readers?
