Intertwining the past and the present to create an innovative spin on the ghostly genre

Paranormal thriller with an innovate spin on the ghostly genre from Theresa Chaze on Vimeo.

Imprisoned in her family's home, the spirit of a murdered child waits for her parents to free her. But they have moved on to new lives as has her killer. Randi must bring them back together, so that they can forgive themselves and make amends. If she succeeds, they will all heal and she will be freed to also reincarnate. If she fails, their need for revenge will damn them all.

Combining two concepts, Never Can Say Good-bye creates an innovative spin on the ghostly genre. With a tagline, “When love is forever, death is only the beginning,” it is comparable to Ghost and The Others.

More than a ghost story

The ghost of a murdered child bring his parents back together after they have reincarnated. He needs them to remember their lives together and forgive. If he succeeds, they will all heal and he will be freed to also reincarnate. If he fails, their need for revenge will damn them all

Never Can Say Good-bye is a Paranormal Thriller, which is comparable to Ghost, The Others, and the original Dark Shadows TV series.

What makes a film popular?

Amazing films come from a great script being combined with talented actors, who have been cast in the right role, a crew that uses innovation rather than shocking the audiences' senses with sex and violence, and a distributor, who has the vision to give the audiences original content. Never Can Say Good-bye has the romance of Ghost, the suspense of The Others and the plot twists that will satisfy the millions Dark Shadows fans.

We have the interest, but not yet the commitment of a distributor.  The Michigan Film Incentive and product placement will give us a great P & A budget, which will give us better bargaining power with distributors and  Theatrical chains.  We grandfathered it into Section 181 of the Jobs Act.  We will do everything possible to give the investor(s) an active role so they can used the federal tax deduction on both their passive and active income.

We have an amazing cast and crew, who will give Never Can Say Good-bye the highest production standards.  It will touch audiences' hearts as they are scaring their socks off.

Join our team for the opportunity to make a good profit, while being able to be proud of being part of an amazing film

Will she take the revenge that she was denied in the past?

Sara Jane's soul was locked away until the sacrifice of another frees her to incarnate. She created a new life free of the old ties until the manipulations of another brought her back to the place where she was trapped and betrayed by the man she loved.    Will she find the way to forgive them all or will she take the revenge that she was denied in the past?

Never Can Say Good-bye is a paranormal thriller, which is much like Ghost, The Others, and the original TV series Dark Shadows. We already have cast and crew attached, including Sally Kirkland, Conrad Goode, Kimberly Estrada, Bill Hayes, and Sharon Smyth Lentz as well as the amazing A-listers of the future: Lillian Lamour, John Thomassen, Niki Cipriano, and Sean Harmon.

I have been communicating with a distributor. Although she can't give us a commitment at this time, she is very interested in our progress and has repeatedly asked to be kept up to date.

Though the weekly notifications that Slated sends out I know that that last week we had 30 investors worth $96 million USD tracking Never Can Say Good-bye. Horses and Heroes has $31 million USD tracking it. I suspect they are waiting for first money in or a distribution deal. This is the reason we are willing to give an extra percentage point for the first money.

Although we can't guarantee anything financially, I can say will confidence that we will make our investors proud as well as it is very likely a good profit,  To learn more about the who and what of Never Can Say Good-bye as well as watch our videos and listen to our music, please visit our website http://cproduction5.wix.com/cosmos-productions-#!page2/cjg9

Movie Goers: Send the big studios a message

Hey Movie Goers,

It's time to stop complaining about the quality of films you have available to watch and become part of the movement to bring back original films, which are based on plot and character instead of just sex, violence, and special effects.  Be the change that you need by empowering us to produce Never Can Say Good-bye.  Even if you can contribute, you can still make a difference by sharing our request with your endorsement as well as attending our virtual event on Facebook.  By saying that you will attend you prove that there is a market for Never Can Say Good-bye. Please join us by clicking here.

Next April you will have the opportunity to learn how love can be a blessing or a curse that will destroy an entire town. But if you can't wait that long one of the gifts we are offering for endorsing us is to read part of our script. You will also have the opportunity to speak with our very talented cast and crew.

Reviews have already endorsed it with rave reviews.

Never Can Say Good-bye reinvents the reincarnation conceit (Somewhere in Time, Ellen Burstyn’s 1980 film Resurrection) in the guise of gothic paranormal psychodrama (Nicole Kidman’s 2001 film The Others, Julie Harris’ 1963 film The Haunting, Deborah Kerr’s 1961 film The Innocents). The plot concerns two families united by a doomed marriage in the 1950s and explores the dissonant legacy that familial discord has had on subsequent generations. (See the Stephen King/John Mellencamp musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County for another take on this thematic concept.)

I finished reading the script earlier this week. It is so well done and layered and clever. I love the notion of turning a ghost story on its head through the lens of reincarnation. I thought the characters were all clearly and thoughtfully drawn, and the script is definitely a page turner in the best sense. The disparate threads cohere in a denouement that is both chilling and poignant. The dialogue is believable, and the insular college-town setting (somewhere in northern Michigan, I believe) lends a nice chilly, hierarchical vibe.
Different actors are reported to have been attached at various points, including Lauren Holly, Bill Hayes, and Dyan Cannon. Stanley Livingston is connected to direct. Obviously, “name” performers would bring added attention to the project, but I daresay a cast of unknowns would keep audience attention focused on the narrative and the dense web of challenging relationships therein.

Reel Roy Reviews

I am still digesting the story, but I do love it. I can't write a proper review until I digest it. A lot of relatives to think about, etc. (in the story)... But here is something more of a blurb. Would this be enough to get you started? I will try to write something longer tomorrow.

“Never Can Say Good-bye” is a gripping, ghostly tale of love, betrayal and revenge. With ghosts interacting with humans, who will win? This unique story has so many shocking twists, it made me gasp for breath.” –

Betty Dravis, author and creator of “The Snack,” a coming short-film

From our cast and crew.

"I've always loved ghost stories as a genre. The "Never Can Say Goodbye" screenplay came to my attention via writer and executive producer, Theresa Chaze and Cosmos Productions. The idea of an epic love story that transcends the physical boundaries of life and death - and crosses the boundaries of inter-dimensional time and space really caught my eye. I am excited to be on board and involved in the project as Director and Producer. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to bring this exciting and imaginative love story that is full of ghostly thrills and chills to life as a feature film."

- STANLEY LIVINGSTON
Director & Producer

Some souls will stop at nothing to reclaim a lost love, including reincarnating and returning to the home that they shared together.

"I will portray Shane, Michael's new wife. Shane loves him and wants to create a good life for them. But a crazy possessed woman, who has traveled across time, wants him back. Shane doesn't know if she can stop her from taking revenge on the man she loves. It's so exciting to be able to play Shane in this film, as it is such a complex role that touches on so many human emotions like love, jealousy, narcissism, passion, anger, and nonhuman things like possession and feeling haunted.

As an actress, to have the chance to be able to explore these emotions, along with portraying someone who is possessed, and express this on film is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It has been a dream of mine to play a role where I get to sing, and this character is a singer in a bluesy band, which involves another element of challenge as an actress to train and sing well as part of a film.

If you can contribute a little something to make this film come alive, you'll increase your good karma and help produce a quality film that you will be very proud to be associated with."

Lillian Lamour
"Shane"

"Unexpected, clever, moving, frightening, twisted, fast paced... All words that easily describe the Script for Never Can Say Goodbye. Yet even as I write them I am not sure they do the story justice. We all love a great ghost story. Undying love, the idea that a love can be so strong as to transcend death. Or a hatred so deep it can do the same. This film touches on all of these ideas while carefully not detracting from the interesting relationships between the well thought out characters. It's ambitious and that draws you in as a performer. The role I will be playing is that of Jefferson. Jefferson is intriguing because the character both displays bravado, confidence and insecurity. Blinded by love he doesn't see what everyone else does. So in essence he is written very human. There is no need to guild the Lilly here. I think there is definitely aspects of myself in the character. I genuinely look forward to getting to know him better. It will be my honor."

John Thomassen
"Jefferson"

Ask yourself: If you were given a second chance, would you choose love or revenge?  If you said love, would the answer be as quick or simple if the revenge was on the one who murdered your child?

Paramount, Warner Bro., Lionsgate--Do you still be believe in Quality Films?

It was implied to me yesterday that I am archaic. That I don't know what the modern audience wants. I always loved films because they were a break in the fast pace, competitive world. Those two hours were a time to laugh, cry, be scared and visit other worlds. It was a time to relax and take a break from my own worries and life challenges. You fell in love with and along with the characters. You shared their adventures and their challenges. You also shared in their successes. They gave you hope that you could also win in your life.

But evidently movies aren't like that any more. I was told that in order to get foreign sales there had to be nudity and sex . Evidently they are more important the the foreign markets instead of love and romance. Plot and character development were less important than the having the scenes strobe across the screen. I have been told that the modern audiences don't have the attention span, patience, or the intelligence to watch movies that have actual plot and character development. It's so much easier to produce shallow films; they sell more toys, beach towels and other crap.

I don't believe this to be true. I believe that there is intelligent life out there, but I think that they are being ignored. I know there is a market for good old fashion plot and character based films. So let them call me archaic. I'll wear the label proudly because I will not compromise on quality.

Never Can Say Good-bye: Finding Lost Love

Have you ever met someone and suddenly felt love or hate? Did you wonder why? What if you had forgotten the reason? Would you want to remember? Would you want to know?

Using as the excuse researching for his new book, Michael visits his friend Lynne in Coyote Springs. In his conscious mind, he wants to rekindle their romantic relationship. Instead, he fixates on the dead lumber baron, Randolph Bellows and his family.

Michael meets Bellows' granddaughter Shane Bellows. Nearly half his age, Shane arouses passion within him. He believes they are soul mates. His best friend Lynne knows better. Michael doesn’t love Shane any more than he loved her. Lynne knows there has been one woman who has always had his heart. Just because he has yet to meet her, doesn’t mean she doesn’t exist. Against her advice and that of others, Michael and Shane marry.

The town is shocked when the owner of the Bellows Mansion offers to allows the couple to move into the old house. Michael is ecstatic. Growing up, Shane heard how the ghost of her grandfather’s first wife tormented his second family until they were forced to flee for their safety. The house had been sold to Amanda Ramsdell just to be rid of the ghost’s curse. Although Sane fears the house, she loves Michael more and reluctantly agrees to live there.

Michael’s obsession deepens. It’s all he can think and dream about. He knows there is more to it than can be seen. He searches old records and finds Sara Jane's bedroom.. Taking the panel off the wall does more than reveal the hidden room. Turning the knob, he opens the door to the past. Crossing the threshold starts him down a path, which could once again lead to obsessive love, betrayal, and murder.

In spite of her reservations, Elizabeth agrees to teach a writing course at a small college. Her instinct tells her to run in the opposite direction, but she never forgets a kindness. Arriving in town, she instantly regrets her decision. But as much as she wants to run, the town draws her in, awakening old memories of passion, anger and fear. By the time she realizes what is happening, it is too late to run. The doors of her past are opened and memories overwhelm her.

Love, guilt and betrayal intertwine forming a kaleidoscope of memories as the past and present abruptly collide. Can they remember the love and learn from the past before they once again turn down the path of murder and revenge?

Never Can Say Good-bye is a paranormal romance with the logline love and hate survives death. It is a new film, which is based on the old fashioned idea that character and plot appeal more to the audiences than sex, violence and special effects. . Never Can Say Good-bye is family friendly film, which gives the audience what it wants. It has the right message at the right time and fills a void that has been created by the endless sequels and remakes.
