Interview with a Modern Druid
Until You Walk the Path, You Don’t Know Where it Goes is hosting author and Druid Priest, Reverend David Smith on August 8 at 5 pm eastern.
Rev. David P. Smith received his bachelors degree in Psychology and Religious Studies in 1999 from Salve Regina University. He is a practicing Druid Priest, spiritual person, and member of many Druidic Organizations including The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, The Ancient Order of Druids In America, and the Henge of Keltria. He has spent most of his life as a seeker to try to find himself and enhance his spiritual development. He is a very interested in all forms of religion and spirituality. When not working and studying he likes to travel to sacred places around the Earth. His website is www.davidduir.com.
Modern Druidry is a spiritual path that is close to nature. The wheel of the year is followed by druids and each group and individual has their own ways of doing this. It is a varied and intensely interesting path practiced by many people world wide. Many organizations exists such as the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, The Ancient Order of Druids in America, Ar nDraiocht Fein, The Henge of Keltria, The Order of the Mithril Star, The British Druid Order and many more.
"Under An Expanse of Oaks, A Druid's Journey" is a book about one Druid's path and the many lessons learned along that path. It contains various explanations and exercises to help the reader experience Druidry for themselves; because Druidry is certainly an experiential journey that one truly needs to live to learn from.
This book was written for those just beginning to explore the path of Druid Practice and Spirituality, though there are many meditations and topics that could be enjoyed by the more advaced practitioner as well.
