Theresa Chaze's Secrets

I graduated from Michigan State University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Communications with a minor in Theater. However, when you factor in the classes I took at West Shore Community College I would have enough credits for a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and s second minor in Business. My first job was at WXIM TV 17 in Grand Rapids. I worked as a Switcher-Director as well as being part of the crew. After a little over a year, I was hired at WGTU-WGTQ TV 29 & 8 in Traverse City also as a Switcher-Director. However, I also wrote, produced, and edited promotional videos for the station For a short time, I directed the morning show.

Here is my resume reel from that time. After being bumped around through different formats the quality has dropped. Only the clips with the station logo actually aired. I produced the rest as resume material.

After leaving the station, I freelanced for several years. I ghost wrote several scripts, including three features and two shorts. It was work for hire, which mean my name was never attached. I I also worked on several commercials as Assistant Costumer, Assistant Director, and general crew. It's been so long I don't remember the products. I worked as crew on several shorts, eventually becoming part of a production team as an Associate Producer and then as full Producer. I would have been listed as Producer for a low budget feature when I left the project. It was a mutual decision. I didn't like their work ethics and they didn't like the fact I was an OCD exacting bitch. I say fact, because in hindsight is was true. I have difficulty compromising on quality especially when it comes to storytelling and production values and you never stiff the crew. I don't know if it was released and don't care to find out.

I left the industry to focus on writing fiction, articles, and a couple of scripts of my own, including Never Can Say Good-bye and Eye of Ra. I approached Katherine Hepburn to star in Never Can Say Good-bye. Without the help of the internet, I was able to find her. Although she liked the role, she told me in two nice notes that she had retired. Viveca Lindfors was considering staring in Never Can Say Good-bye, when she died. Her manager Joyce Chase said it was one of the best scripts she read in ten years. It was first draft.

In 2003, I started my way back by producing short videos and book trailers. I work with authors and publishers as well as PR and marketing companies. I had very basic equipment, but I was still able to produce quality. In 2010, the writing became so bad on my favorite soap Days of Our Lives that I decided to be snarky and write alternative storylines. I posted them on the NBC boards and immediately had fans around the world. Even though I applied for the head writer gig, I was not hired. For that I am grateful. If I had been, I wouldn't have created Operation Home Base and Horses and Heroes, nor would I have rewritten Never Can Say Good-bye and Eye of Ra. I had forgotten how much I loved the work. At the end of the year, I created Cosmos Productions in preparation for larger projects. I am ready to go back and do the work. I'm much stronger and more confident. You can't swim with sharks if you feel link a minnow, because you will just get eaten alive.

I have much better computer and editing software, which has increased my capabilities. Last week, I produced my first green screen project. It was much easier than I remembered it being. Here is what I came up with.

This is my second green screen video.

Computer programs have always come easy to me. With little training, I took to them like duck to water. I have always been innovative, creative, and very good at finding what I need. I've got more moxie than most people would ever dream of having. I'm not afraid to ask for what I want and keeping going after it until I get it. So there are my secrets. I was a bitch. I was a doormat. Now I'm a more balance person and stronger professional, who is ready, willing, and able to to get the job done.

The ghost of a murdered child bring his parents back together after they have reincarnated. He needs them to remember their lives together so that they can forgive themselves and others. If he succeeds, they will all heal and he will be freed to also reincarnate. If he fails, their need for revenge will damn them all.

Horses and Heroes is a Reality TV series, which combines the highly effective Peer Support Therapy with Equine Therapy. Unlike most in the genre, it will focus on healing and positive growth rather than endorsing bad behavior. Each season will bring together the veterans from WWII to the current conflicts. They will be sharing their challenges and supporting each other as they find new solutions. They know the talk, because they have walked the walk. They see the dodges and will be able to call each other on them. Sparks may fly. Tempers may flare, especially when they force each other to face the ghosts. But will also be laughter and fun as they rebuild the comradery. The snarkiness and practical jokes between the branches don't simply end. There is always room for just one more. When it airs, it will reach into the homes of the veterans, who need to hear that they are not alone and give them the information as well as the permission to also heal. They will help each other find their way back to the world. Veterans can’t go back and make a brand new start; but they can start from now and make a brand new end.
